The transformation of a city is a process that starts and develops due to the competition of many individuals , sometimes aware of what is going to happen in its complexity, sometimes thesis simply the pursuit of particular goals that , at best , and only thanks to the ability to someone to govern the contradictions and introduce the necessary corrections , they are able to come together in an overall design.
The end result is always something very different from what was imagined or planned. It is certain , however, that without the ability to imagine the future , no process can continue with the culture and vitality.
This exhibition is the result of a long process of study , study design , and also related to a significant part of the city of Udine , part hitherto locked in each development perspective.
Specifically, the area straddling the rail in the stretch Udine Venice train station at the airport S. Rocco, sees some situations the basic block : SAFAU of brownfields and other industrial activities on the one hand , the former fruit and vegetable market , the slaughterhouse and the former industrial areas of Agricultural Associations and the other in the middle of a large area occupied by railway yards now abandoned or otherwise be made available for other uses.
The City of Udine considers that this part of town is an inescapable point of building a sustainable urban future , where the re-use of land and the reduction of waste in a strong framework for quality and efficiency are the points of reference of the activities economic . Today we are finally in a position to start a real path that eventually you realize not only the maps, maybe exciting and fascinating , but also building sites and public and private investors concrete .
